The Story

Before the athletes, I was a teenager with a press pass. By 13 I was in locker rooms interviewing pros — learning what high performers actually think about, long before I understood why it mattered.

I stepped away from the broadcast booth for the helping profession. I earned a doctorate in psychology, became a professor, ran a private practice, served as a chaplain at juvenile hall, and worked in community mental health with people who had almost nothing.

Then in 2019, my best friend Jimmy Spencer joined Uninterrupted — LeBron James's media company — in the early days. Athletes started coming to me — not because I was chasing them, but because they needed help and trusted Jimmy's referral.

One at a time, they asked for the same thing: help me block out the noise. Help me access flow state. Train me like the military trains operators.

So I built it.

What I Do Now

For six years I've worked in the trenches with professional and collegiate athletes across the highest levels of sport — championship winners, Pro Bowlers, All-Stars, elite CEOs, top-performing founders.

Three of those years, I was embedded with the Tennessee Titans under head coach Mike Vrabel — a first-of-its-kind integration of mental performance work on an NFL sideline. I consult with UCLA Softball, the winningest program in the sport. I work one-on-one with MLB All-Stars and NFL captains.

I teach the science that was previously locked behind military contracts and Ivy League research labs.

And now, it's time to bring that work to the next generation.

Why Cheatcode

The young athlete of 2026 is trying to perform in a world designed to dysregulate them. Phones. Social media. Comparison. Constant evaluation. The pressure isn't new — the noise around it is.

Modern athletes aren't weak. They're dysregulated. The good news: regulation is trainable. The science is there. The frameworks work. I've seen them work at the highest level.

Cheatcode Performance is the program that puts those tools in the hands of young athletes and their families — before the pressure, the noise, and the burnout define their careers.
